Quality Locus
A diagnostic coordinate system for production AI quality. It locates which part of a deployed AI system currently limits quality: the model, or one of the six surfaces around it.
Six surfaces: data, training, inference, memory, runtime, and evaluation. The deployed model sits at the center as the baseline they are tested against.

Release Coupling Ratio
A measure of whether independent deployment actually exists: the fraction of teams that must deploy together for one change to reach production.
A leading indicator of a distributed monolith, read alongside Sync Hop, Ownership Coverage, and Tail Index.

Decision Sunset
An expiration date attached to an architectural decision, standard, or policy. When it arrives, the decision is re-evaluated against the evidence instead of being renewed automatically.
Renew only with fresh evidence, revise with a new decision, or retire. Retirement is the default for exceptions.

Consistency Profile
A contract that sets consistency requirements per domain, key, and scene, instead of one label for the whole system.
Each profile states the consistency model, staleness budget, tail latency target, retry limits, and compensation rules.
